Art in the Frame > Artists > Frank Phillips
Frank Phillips
Frank Phillips made his career, notably as an in-house and freelance book designer. During his professional life he worked at Reader’s Digest Books, Edbury Press and finally at BBC Worldwide, where he was creative director.
Now living in the Dordogne region of France, he has realized a long held ambition to work as an artist and has become established as a water colourist.
His principle inspiration has been the ancient landscape of the Perigord Vert with it’s patchwork of fields and forests, interspersed with villages, manors and chateaux. His other love is Cornwall, where he also paints.
He exhibits regularly in France and the United Kingdom. His work is in private collections in France, the United Kingdom, the United States of America, Australia and Russia.
