June Gould
June is a local ceramicist with strong Jersey roots, working in both Raku and stoneware. The Raku pieces tend to be the more decorative and impulsive whereas the stoneware is more functional. The stoneware falls into two sections.
Firstly influenced by the Jersey seascape, rock-pools and cliffs and the second by the countryside. The bowl pictured is influenced by the colours seen in rock pools with seaweed on the outer edge.
The mugs are decorated with raised fish & seaweed. The use of colour is very subtle & very marine. Bowls from £15.00 to £78.00 (top right) and mugs from £7.00 each up to £10.00 (top left).
