Initially a fine artist, Lisa Macdonald is finding that her work is turning towards textiles. Working with flowers, maps & the human form. Lisa is painting the surface of her fabric with bold and yet subtle colourful designs. She then "paints in stitch" creating a very interesting textural surface. The breaking up of the colours creates an almost Impressionistic image.

This ouevre of work is a culmination of her fine art painting and her new love of textile art.

Lisa won the award for Colour at Textile Showcase 2009.
