Rachel gained a B.Ed. in Home Economics in the 70s specialising in Food and Textiles and is now Head of Textiles at JCG. She spent a fair amount of time following different career paths, returning to teaching several years ago. She helped build up the textiles department to offer A level again and has become more and more interested in the wonderful creative opportunities available to students. 'I have to prove to them that I can do it too!', she said and she thoroughly enjoyed creating her piece.
