After his many exhibitions in Europe and the United States of America, Roberto Lauro is at last exhibiting in Jersey. Art in The Frame are very honoured to be holding the exhibition, “Light & Colour, Love of Life”.

Roberto Lauro, the Jersey-born Swiss artist, returns to Jersey in his seventieth year, with his first exhibition on the island. But this is not a retrospective of his work, for Roberto Lauro continually examines the tension between light and matter in a unique fusion of glass and metal.

His sculptures vibrate with exuberant raw energy. Inspired by nature, his work is deeply spiritual. The glass captures the light, and suddenly the metal becomes dynamic, just as the soul gives energy to life.

Roberto Lauro’s passion for life is found in every brushstroke, in the vibrance of his oils, in the movement of his watercolours. As the artist himself says, “I want to feel life - recreate and communicate this through my art.”
