Sheila Birch
Sheila's love of photography was not put into serious practical terms until her children were grown up. She was encouraged by her father's success with colour slides but began working in monochrome, gaining The Royal Photographic Society's Licentiate Distinction.
Using her love of portraiture she became a freelance wedding photographer.
In 2003 with Betty Thurban's encouragement, she began submitting her work to National and International Exhibitions gaining acceptances and awards, in particular the Racal Medal at the 29th Algarve International and her work has been shown in the prestigious London Salon.
Originally a chemical dark room worker, Sheila has moved to Digital Imaging and has a preference for the intimate landscape.
