BODY ADORNMENT COMPETITION RESULTS
TEXTILE SHOWCASE. April 1st to 4th 2004
£500 award

£200 award - (student 18 years & above studying an
art textile degree)
Leah Hamel, London College of Fashion – embroidered
jacket.
£100 award - (student 14-18 years & studying GCSE,
etc. in Art/textiles)
Louise Carne – petal neckpiece.
The rules were:
This could be Jewellery, scarf, hat, belt, funky underwear, anklet,
gauntlet..... Fun or serious, it must include surface decoration WITH
EITHER HAND OR MACHINE STITCHING.
- This work must have been produced after April,
2003.
- The work must fit into an an A4-padded envelope.
- Minimum entry age is 14.
- All entries will be judged under one category regardless
of age & style.
- The work must be sent to us in an A4 Jiffy Bag,
along with a clear self addressed label & stamps to the value
of £2.00 for your item to be returned. If you live in another
Channel Island or on the mainland please enclose a £2.00
cheque or coins to that value. Send to the
Art In The Frame address.
- The work must be received by March 19th 2004.
- All work will be displayed numbered and then named
after judging.
- Prizewinners will be notified by midday Saturday
3rd April and prizes presented on Sunday 4th April 4.00pm.
- No responsibility can be taken for loss or damage
to your work, although every care will be taken to return it in
prime condition within 4 weeks of the event.
- The decision of the judges is final.
- Images of the winners work might be used
to advertise a future, similar event.
