Latest work by Sarah Jordan and Bianca Acronzio.
This year saw a new competition Denim Blues. Adults and children were invited to decorate a pair of denim jeans and to either make a bag or hat from a pair of jeans. The one stipulation, the denim article had to be purchased from a charity shop and had to have a purchase receipt.
The decorated jeans for adults was won by Rebecca Hefford [photo].
The adult bag was won by Lindsay Bracegirdle [photo].
The decorated jeans for children was won by Madison Birrell.
The child's bag, by Megan Barette.
This competition was judged by Polly Leonard [photo], editor of the very sumptuous textile/design magazine SELVEDGE. Polly came to the island on a flying visit to open Artisan Showcase 4.
