An exhibition by Peter Millard.
Peter has been painting since the age of 12. In 1981 he moved to America and opened his own gallery in Sedona, Arizona and successfully sold paintings and prints worldwide. After an operation on his knee in Autumn 2007 the road to recovery was to paint. These paintings grew into a beautiful exhibition, which Art in the Frame is delighted to be showing at The Harbour Gallery. Anyone who has walked on the beaches of Jersey will recognize these cascading waves rushing up on the beach or crashing onto the rocks. These oil paintings draw you into the jewel-like waves, you can almost feel yourself walking into the painting. Dates: 15 May to 7 June 2008.
OPEN 7 DAYS A WEEK 10.30am - 5.30pm.
An exhibition of paintings by Nicole Smith and Andrew Thompson.
To be officially opened by Professor Ed Sallis, Principal of Highlands College, at 7PM on 11 June.
Nicole Smith and Andrew Thompson are two local artists who, despite their widely differing approach to art, have worked together to produce this exhibition which they have named ‘Reflections’.
The catalyst for this exhibition was a recent collaborative painting entitled ‘Indie’. The combination of their two distinctive styles in this one painting proved to be an exciting experiment and was the seed for ‘Reflections’.
Nicole Smith’s work explores the power of images – where she enters into an emotional journey of spiritual reflection.
Andrew Thompson’s paintings explore the reflective qualities of the coastline in his quest to capture light and movement.
Dates: 11 June to 7 July 2008.
