The Art of Fresco Making

Two day workshop with artist and fresco restorer Andrea Massara from Milan.
Design your image, prepare a cartoon, prepare the arriccio (plaster), apply the intonaco (wet layer of plaster) and transfer the cartoon to the plaster. Use natural pigments to paint on to the intonaco.
Venue: The Harbour Gallery, St Aubin [map]
Cost: Two day course: £95.00. Includes all materials, coffee, tea and lunch each day. Each person will take home a framed piece of fresco work. Discounts for Friends of Art in the Frame and students.

Two day workshop with very popular tutor Vicky Ovenden. Each person will make a panel of stained glass to take home.
Venue: Beaulieu School Art Department [map]. Plenty of parking and all facilities.

Four day workshop with George Kowzan. Learn the techniques of making mosaics. Design and make a wall-hung mirror (2ft x 2ft) and experience Al Fresco mosaic making in the style of Spanish architect Antoni Gaudi.
