Textile Showcase 2010 (8th to 14th March) Title: Open Competition - "ALL IS REVEALED" All is Revealed, the Open Competition, will be displayed in the larger venue of St Aubin on the Hill, more exhibiting space and more viewing space for 2010. New for 2010, an Award of £100 to the favourite entry voted for by the public from any category and two £20 vouchers to be drawn for two of the voters, both will be announced on the Saturday evening. More: Single page leaflet Tutors Taking Workshops at Jersey Textile Showcase 2010 JEAN MOSS - Art in the Frame are delighted that Jean Moss has agreed to come to Jersey for Jersey Textile Showcase 2010. You asked for some knitting workshops we have listened to you. Jean is a very well known designer of knitwear, you might well have purchased a knitting pattern for our Artesano range of knitting yarns, designed by Jean. Jean is also a creative knitter and will be providing you with a wide variety of creative knitting workshops using Artesano Yarns and other materials. GAELA LE MOINE - For 2010 not only will Gaela Le Moine be exhibiting her wonderful millinery creations, she will be taking commissions and running workshops. For a 2010 wedding or a visit to Royal Ascot or Longchamps how exciting that you will be able to wear a hat that you have created yourself, or a one-off piece from Gaela. FIONA KEARNS - Art in the Frame are delighted to be adding Fiona to our list of tutors for 2010. Fiona has attended all the Jersey Textile Showcases both at the RJA&HS and at The Harbour Gallery, many of you will know Fiona and her hand stitching workshops. JAN BEANEY and JEAN LITTLEJOHN, the Double Trouble Ladies. LOUISE GARDINER, draw with the sewing machine (See an article on Louise in the July issue of Embroidery Magazine). CAROL COLEMAN, use FME and dissolvable film. GINA FERRARI, back by popular request. FIONA KEARNS , try some Luscious Layers and the Art of the Doll. NAOMI RENOUF, all her workshops sold out in 2009, a chance to work with Naomi in 2010. CHRISTINE WITHAM (her recent pieces), you will have seen articles on her in Workbox and Craft &Design with her fabulous textile jewellery and 4 Black Jackets commissioned by David Gainsborough Roberts. PAM KUBAS, for those who missed out in 2009 due to her workshops being fully booked. New to 2010......... One Day Master Classes with these talented tutors. Workshop details will be going up later. Details of all the tutor's workshops will be on the website from the end of October with a booking form. Each week we will be adding more information about the bigger Jersey Textile Showcase 2010, keep checking the website.
