About 20 on ivy covered stream bank, the Osiers, Thriplow, 1958, G Crompton.
On bank of stream, willow, birch, poplar coppice, Osiers, Thriplow, 440.460, WB Gourlay & H Gilbert Carter, 25.7.1958, det. DP Young 2/60, 'Yes, var. vectensis (Steph.) mihi approaching var. pendula mihi.' CGE.
4 flowering plants c.half-way between plank bridge at north end and first ride south, by track, in dominant ivy along stream bank, track now overgrow, no longer mown, and stream cleaned out and dumped on bank, Thriplow Osier wood, 438.475, Pop. map & Photo, at 1/30: F 1.4, G Crompton with RP Libbey, 9.8.1975. (Site known since late 1950s when up to 50 Epipactis counted, GC.)
2 fl. plants 2 paces south of cross-ditch at north end of Osier wood, on west side of track under Populus can, Salix, Hedera hel, Ligus vul, etc. roughly opposite 'new'lake' in adjacent ley, one plant had variegated leaves, 438.475, G Crompton Pop. map & Col. prints, with R Payne, 22.7.1983, (spec. of 1 floret det. Dr JTH Knight).
Many trees have fallen and let in much light, path quite gone in places, bank of stream (no water) with Brachy syl dom., cross rides not visible. There are some areas still with deep shade and ivy dominant but no Epipactis found in a quick search, G Crompton & K Tucker, 17.8.1992. 45

BEECH BELT, BURY ROAD
2 plants, (one in fruit & 1 apparently not flowering), beech belt, c.25 metres from the entance posts, Bury Road, Snailwell, 658/9.648, EM Hyde, 2.9.1981.
4 or 5 plants, well spread out, all single stems, rather pale green, EM Hyde, 7.7.1982.
5 or 6 plants in ivy under beech c.185 paces from entrance gates, G Crompton,16.7.1982; 2 plants under beech in ivy ,G Crompton, Pop.map & col. prints, 660.649, (spec. 1 floret det. Dr JHT Knight,) 20.7.1983.
