Lupulus Hops, the male and female. The male are in some counties of England called Seed Hops, yet improperly, seeing they bear onely flowers. The manured Hops of both sorts are but in few places of this County. The wild grow in many hedges about Chesterton, and divers other places. Ray,1660,91-92(81).
