One plant about 9" tall, in the crack between the base of the wall and the pavement, The Malster's House, NW facing side of Commercial End, Swaffham Bulbeck, 557.663, G Crompton, 9.2001. By November it had been removed. There are a number of trees growing about 50 yards from the road, at No 103 Commercial End of both P. tomentosa and P. fargesii. The seeds are very light and it was an exceptional year for self sown seedling plants which germinated over the spring and summer in every crack in the terrace pavements, up and down the gravel drives and in the french drains of No. 103. (One self sown seedling from perhaps two years ago grew from 2ft to 8ft in 2001.)
