Dear Members and Friends of the JADC
I welcome this opportunity, on behalf of the Cast and the Crew, to thank all those who supported this production at the Jersey Arts Centre. The audience feedback, both during and after each show, was much appreciated. Equally valued are the many comments we have continued to receive. People appreciated the cast’s skill and entertaining interpretation of the playwright’s script. We are very pleased with our theatrical success!
To my Cast -- a very big thank you for seven marvellous characterizations and a superlative team effort.
To all the production people, including our Arts Centre colleagues, front-of-house, backstage and pre-performance practitioners of publicity -- your creative contributions were crucial to the fun.
A special ‘thank you’ to David Alexander and Audrey Lucas for the fab set, resulting from the many hours of your dedicated labour.
Reflecting on the final product during my recent break away to recover, I am confirmed in the belief that there is an audience for plays and that the JADC is able to stand up against the competition of the professional theatre and circus which ran concurrently especially when they seemed to receive most of the media attention. We actually attracted a lot of patrons who don’t normally come out to our shows -- so the newcomers must be nurtured with plans for more in coming seasons.
I think we have set the bar a bit higher and can feel proud of the standard we have set for the future.
