Synopsis
Bus Stop tells the story of an itinerant rodeo cowboy (Murray) and his love for a second-rate café singer (Monroe). After a mix of pain and humour, played out against the backdrop of Phoenix, Arizona, the cowboy gets his gal.* * * * * *
Bus Stop was the one film Monroe completely controlled, as her business partner, photographer Hilton Green, was in general charge. She chose her costumes and make-up, selected the director, Josh Logan, and cinematographer.Paula Strasberg coached her for the part in the method school of acting and it shows.
