Gainsborough Roberts has been a patron of the JFS for many years and this
year is sponsoring The Way Ahead

When
he sponsors and introduces a film it's always a memorable evening with movie
anecdotes and fascinating background knowledge. As if that wasn't enough
there's always his amazing collection of memorabilia:

For Lawrence of Arabia he brought along
Lawrence's robes;
For Bonnie and Clyde, Clyde Barrow's
bullet-proof vest & the boots he made in gaol;
For Some Like it Hot
one of the dresses worn by Marilyn Monroe in the film was modelled
before the performance;
For Tombstone he put on an exhibition
throughout the day of his large collection of Wyatt Earp memorabilia
(see poster).
For Gentlemen Prefer Blondes one of the dresses worn by Marilyn Monroe was on display.
For Bus Stop two of the costumes worn by Marilyn Monroe were on display as well as a stetson signed by the cast. |
