Hello everyone. In Roger's
absence it's Eileen writing to you again this month.
LAST MEETING
With Roger and Marian away at the same time, their understudy of 14
years, Eileen, opened the meeting and introduced gardening expert
Dennis Shaw as our speaker. He showed us a variety of slides of themed
gardens, stately homes and water features. Being a member of the National
Trust brings him much pleasure and he has visited many places in the
UK. The evening finished with a lot of chatter amongst members and
our usual raffle.

(£2/£3/£5) towards the expenses for the night or
to get lottery tickets for the lucky books.

CHRISTMAS
LUNCH
There are still a few seats available for the Christmas get together
on the 7th December. Please phone Eileen now if you would like to
join us.
CAROL SERVICE
We are delighted that the "Songsmiths" will be leading the
singing and entertaining us with a variety of Christmas Music at St.
Andrew's Church on Wednesday I0th. December 2003 @ 7.30pm. A retiring
collection in aid of the Society will be made and mince pies, tea
& coffee will be served afterwards. Please contact Nancy on 733867
if you can make some mince pies and please display the enclosed poster.

SOCIAL GET T0GETHERS
Hopefully bowls on Tuesday the 2nd December and a whist drive on Friday
12th December, please phone Eileen for details.
NEXT MEETING
We next meet at Communicare on Tuesday 25th. November 2003 at 8pm.
This will be a horse racing night organised by yours truly. Mince
pies and mulled wine will be served as well as our usual tea &
coffee See you there.
As we do not send a December newsletter, on behalf of the committee
