The artist

Sian Hughes is a mixed media textile artist based in Liverpool producing work for exhibition, installation and commission. Her work ranges in scale from framed pieces to large 3 dimensional structures.

Although working primarily with textiles, she seeks to challenge conventional expectations of textile pieces by incorporating perspex, steel and fluorescent lighting into her work.
