Coastlands - Ynysoedd

This exhibition was inspired by the North Wales coastline, in particular the structures found along the Cob Walk in Llanfairfechan and its views of Anglesey and Puffin Island.

Paper, textiles, perspex, steel and fluorescent light were used to explore the shapes and textures of sea and shore creating an exhibition that combined installations with conventional framed works.

The design details from the structures of the coastline inform the abstract work: wooden pilings and planks, many embedded with stones washed in by the sea; coastland detritus -seaweed, feathers: the rock and stones of the foreshore and the views of the islands beyond. This is available for exhibition.
